This infographic was created in Piktochart to teach learners some basic facts regarding the National Park Service. I chose an infographic to present the content in accordance with the multimedia principle, which suggests that people learn best from a combination of text and graphics rather than text or graphics alone. Several other design principles have been utilized to help learners select, organize, and integrate new information. The spatial contiguity principle is utilized when text and corresponding pictures are presented near one another. The signaling (or cueing) principle is utilized through headings and bold print, which draw learners’ attention to key information.
